We Recently Built Over 400 Devices at our Holiday Hackathon; Help Us Get to 2,000 Toys and Switches for Kids With Disabilities
On this Giving Tuesday and the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, we are so close to reaching our goal of raising $125,000 to provide 2,000 toys and switches for kids with disabilities across the country. With over $110,000 raised so far, you can help us cross the finish line today.
On November 22nd, thanks to your support,Ìýwe hosted over 230 volunteers and built and adapted over 400 devicesÌý— 243 toys and 163 switches — at our first annual Holiday Hackathon in Burnaby.
Today, to honour the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, we are hosting several build events across Canada, and events continuing throughout the month, as we aim to get these toys to families and clinicians for the holiday season.
Your donation will help us spread the joy of play, andÌýsupport in operating on an ongoing basis.ÌýEvery dollar counts — many battery-operated toys can be adapted with just $5 of parts, while $50 can cover the whole cost of a toy and switch.ÌýThis Giving Tuesday, give the gift of play.
