Through Clubs That Care, an initiative by Neil Squire鈥檚 Makers Making Change program, we are helping university and post-secondary clubs and groups to build affordable assistive technology for their community. One such club is the UBC Science Undergraduate Society (SUS).
Through Clubs That Care, an initiative by Neil Squire鈥檚 Makers Making Change program, we are helping university and post-secondary clubs and groups to build affordable assistive technology for their community. One such club is the University of Victoria (UVic) Biomedical Engineering Design Club.
The build was held in partnership with STEAM PEI, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire young Islanders to pursue learning and careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math.
It was an incredible year for Makers Making Change. Over the course of the year, we hosted and participated in 164 events, we delivered 2,382 devices to people with disabilities, engaged 3,242 volunteers, and our #HackingForTheHolidays campaign was a huge success.
The University of Lethbridge Agility program hosted two events in partnership with Makers Making Change, as part of their Youth Making Change initiative.
