Makers Making Change has donated 10 dice spinners to the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
With the help of computer skills she learned from our Digital Jumpstart program, Carmen has been hosting a retreat on her property. “I only opened up September 15th, but since then every weekend I鈥檝e been pretty much booked.鈥
Through the Digital Jumpstart program, Somayeh received a laptop to help with her school. She also received one-on-one virtual tutoring in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and WordQ. In particular, she mentions how WordQ鈥檚 word prediction feature has helped with her schoolwork.
While the New Orleans Makers Making Change chapter is only a few months old, they鈥檝e made tremendous progress on their first big project 鈥 the Portable Adaptive Toilet, or as they call it, the 鈥極ne-to-Geaux.鈥
