Today, Roy uses a computer to manage the administrative tasks for his music career, and to work on his weekly radio show 鈥 doing audio editing, script writing, making the playlists, and research. He uses the JAWS screen reader to navigate the various programs on his computer.
For over 30 years, Greg worked as a carpenter on Salt Spring Island. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with Parkinson鈥檚 Disease. He joined our Digital Jumpstart program to be able to do more research on the computer and access opportunities that are available digitally, now that he isn鈥檛 able to work.
