These 3D printed Tactile Maps are intended as a learning tool to help people with visual impairments learn how to navigate different intersections as a pedestrian, along with the accompanying traffic signs and signals.

For the fourth iteration of the LipSync, we鈥檝e completely re-designed it from the ground up, with new hardware and new software. It is now easier to use, easier to build, and provides greater user independence.

MMC Team Builds New LipSyncs in Internal Team Build

During the first week of December, the Makers Making Change team from across Canada came down to our Burnaby Head Office for team meetings and planning sessions, as well as team bonding activities. One activity the team got to participate in was an internal build event for the new LipSync that our research and development team has been hard at work on.
