The West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto is one of seven GAME Checkpoints, a network of partner organizations led by Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change program that help people with disabilities access adaptive gaming.
In 2023, Makers Making Change hit a number of record-breaking totals for one year, delivering 5,855 assistive devices, hosting 291 events, and engaging 10,171 volunteers — 6,979 of them youth.
Over the course of three Youth Making Change workshops with Makers Making Change, Grade 9 drafting students at Linden Christian School in Winnipeg put their drafting skills in action to make a difference for children with disabilities.
Thanks to your support, we reached our #HackingForTheHoliday campaign goals, raising $108,685 and delivering 2,519 toys to children with disabilities across Canada.
