All of our employment staff in British Columbia will be attending a special three day course on June 26th, 27th, and 28th with the BC Career Development Association so they can secure their Certified Career Development Practitioner certification.
Since Dale got sick in the mid-90鈥檚 and had to leave the workforce, the world has changed a lot. 鈥淚鈥檝e tried to get different jobs, and I find one stumbling block 鈥 technology,鈥 she explains. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a different world than what I left.鈥
Gillian, who works in a hospital in a small town in British Columbia, was born with low vision, and is now blind. She needed to learn how to use a smartphone and turned to the 今日吃瓜51’s Distance Computer Comfort program.
Cindy, who lives in Montreal, Quebec, was forced to leave her job of 23 years in the finance department of a business in 2010 after more than a year of pain and exhaustion stemming from “an issue” in her neck. She was looking to re-enter the workforce when she joined the Distance Computer Comfort program.
