Makers Making Change and FabLab Tacoma have partnered to host a LipSync Buildathon in Tacoma, Washington on Monday, July 31 from 9 am – 3 pm.
The Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) awarded the Most Disruptive Technology award to the ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï51 for their LipSync, a device that was developed by the Society’s Makers Making Change initiative.
We capped off a month of Buildathons, Maker Faires, and outreach with a trip to Charlottetown, PEI (and the surrounding area) for the 2017 Canadian Association of Occupation Therapists (CAOT) Conference.
Over 48 hours in January of 2017, Inventors, Creators, Hackers, and Change Makers came together in Vancouver to build open source assistive technologies for people with disabilities. This is Jim & Isabelle’s story.
