Farah’s “Journey to Success”
Farah, who has ulcerative colitis and arthritis, approached the Solutions for Employment team to upgrade her qualifications. She went back to school and is now employed as a Settlement Worker.
Stephanie Becomes an Active Member of the Community
Stephanie was struggling with identifying what she wanted to do with her life. She was born with Spina bifida and uses a wheelchair to get around. Since joining Working Together, Stephanie has experienced an increase in self-esteem and has become an active member of the community.
Brenda Learns Computer Skills Before Heading off to University
A victim of abuse and a residential school survivor, Brenda had dropped out of school in Grade Nine. As an adult, she began working on her education and completed her high school studies in 2016. Now, she’s off to university, but first wanted to learn her way around on a computer.
iPad Lessons and a Computer Upgrade for Wes
Wes is 67 years old. He stays active dragon boating twice a week. He鈥檚 accomplished, having won a couple of gold medals with his team, and hopes to compete in Hungary soon. He is visually impaired.
