Through Digital Jumpstart, Taylor received equipment including a computer, mouse, and keyboard, and received training in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point. Working with Neil Squire staff on their job search, Taylor was hired by the Disability Foundation, a role that helped Taylor find confidence in their abilities.
鈥淎fter just one month, they had a series of jobs for me to choose from, and I got hired with the Disability Foundation in September 2020,鈥 Sheryl says of participating in the Working Together program.
鈥淚 feel like my experiences as a person with a disability have value to others in making positive change in understanding the importance of accessibility and inclusion.鈥
鈥淚 have more confidence in myself and my abilities,鈥 says Alison, who landed a position at the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association.
