Ean Price has lived in British Columbia his entire life. Born in Dawson Creek, his family moved to the Okanagan when he was five years old, 鈥渁fter being diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at 10 months, my parents decided that I was going to be way too high maintenance to live in the bush.鈥
Jaycee is a talented musician based out of Agassiz. She plays with the聽Vancouver Adapted Music Society,聽one of six societies supported by the聽Disability Foundation. Music played a big part in her recovery from surgery to remove a brain tumour.
鈥淚鈥檓 never a one trick pony,鈥 says Richard Peter. As an Indigenous leader, five-time Paralympian, mentor, sports advocate, research champion, husband, son 鈥 and so much more 鈥 this is an understatement.
The Province of BC announced today that the BC Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Community Services Network will receive funding of $3 million over three years.
