History

For over 30 years the Research and Development Group has applied its technical expertise to develop a variety of innovative assistive and educational technologies for people with disabilities, older adults, and people recovering from illnesses or injury. We also work with various organizations and companies to bring their products from concept to the manufacturing stage.

Our team has extensive experience with all phases of the product development from concept development through to pre-regulatory testing and manufacturing and technical transfer. We have developed many devices for a wide variety of uses, including environmental control (home automation), robotics, adaptive computer inputs, accessible software programs, and classroom aids.

We would like to recognize that, in addition to government grants and contracts, we could not have completed any of our projects without the generous support of many commercial, academic and community partners. They have donated people, facilities, material and financing to ensure the completion of our work.
