Every Gift Makes An Impact

Your support has enabled access to life-changing technology and knowledge, and invests in bridging the divide between disabled and non-disabled Canadians.

Thanks to you, we have been able to help people like Christy, Kam, and Shawna.

Christy

“I have quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which affects all four of my limbs and includes a mild to moderate speech impairment. I can type manually with one finger, but it is slow and inaccurate. Since I started working with Neil Squire, I have become much more proficient with Dragon and now use it on a daily basis at work. What I enjoyed was I got to apply what I learned in real time and in real life situations. The individualized attention was great! I have now been promoted to the role of Regulatory Analyst. I couldn鈥檛 have achieved any of this without the assistance of Neil Squire.鈥澛 聽鈥 Christy

Iphone

“I am visually impaired. If you鈥檙e not able to use the smartphone, you鈥檙e missing out on a lot. I recently completed a series of weekly remote sessions and I would like to express my deep gratitude to the 今日吃瓜51 for the valuable instruction, which has transformed me from a state of knowing next to nothing about the smartphone to now an efficient user of this device. It鈥檚 mentioned in the mission statement of the Society that you use ‘technology, knowledge, and passion to empower people with disabilities’. And that鈥檚 exactly what happened to me. I鈥檓 empowered!”聽 聽鈥 Kam

LipSync

“My wife, Shawna, is quadriplegic. I got her a LipSync two years ago, shortly after her accident. She has been tremendously helped by it, and she can phone various people. It鈥檚 been pretty good, until she went into lockdown at the care home she鈥檚 at 鈥 and then it quit. I was able to get a hold of another one from you. We phone each other each night. Plus, she鈥檚 able to phone other people she knows, so she鈥檚 not as isolated. My wife says Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. So do I. I really appreciate your efforts 鈥 you help a lot of different people in a lot of different ways.”聽 聽鈥 Nelson
