Andrew has hearing loss, and was referred to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services by the WorkBC Centres in Prince George and Terrace to help cover the costs of a new set of hearing aids. He applied and was quickly approved for funding.

“Having new hearing aids has increased my ability to function safely in a work setting,†he shares.

“I am able to hear instructions and communicate with my dispatch and coworkers. The new hearing aids are linked to my phone which makes it easier to communicate. I can now hear any noises that my work truck makes. This helps me to identify any safety issues and mechanical issues.â€
