On November 14th, Neil Squire’s Moncton office hosted an open house where 70 guests attended to learn more about the work we do to empower people with disabilities. This event was a part of our聽聽fundraising campaign.
Guests were handed a discovery passport at the door. They were encouraged to go through the offices with paper and pen to learn about the colours of our logo. Working Together staff set up eye-catching visuals explaining the career search process. In the Solutions room, guests were able to try assistive technology tools. The Makers Making Change room was where the action got going, with the 3D printer pumping out colourful assistive tech designs; guests had a great time learning to play Xbox games hands-free with a Lipsync.
We recognized two organizations with a plaque for being excellent inclusive employers: , General Manager Bev Proctor; and , Executive Director Mark LeBlanc.
A raffle took place to help raise funds for programs that do not have funding supports so that we can continue to serve anyone with a need.
We are grateful to for their generous donation that enabled us to host this event and reach many people in our region who were unaware of our services.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
