“My name is Lisa. For most of my life, I have been a stay at home Mom. I have three children that also have disabilities. I wanted to go back to work to have a better life for my kids. I heard about the 今日吃瓜51 through the office in Regina.

My learning disability makes it so that I can鈥檛 comprehend instructions or math. I need to do a task and be able to ask lots of questions to understand. I struggle with big words and math.

While in the program at Neil Squire, I found the staff and tutors very patient and I was provided with some solutions to assist with the challenges I have. One suggestion to keep a notebook and write down important information helped me a lot in my current job to remember what I鈥檓 supposed to do next.

I also was able to create a resume which I would not have been able to do before and the way the staff treated me so well I was able to build my confidence. I am excited to be able to use my email for work and for other information. My favorite part of the program was working one-to-one with the Job Developer. She gave me lots of advice when I was looking for work and helping me with interviewing and stuff.

I did not receive any assistive technology. Most of what helped me were the tips to help me remember what I was learning.

Because of the program, I was able to find work as cleaner with the . My boss has been very good to work with me and my learning disability. The tips I learned at Neil Squire are very handy!”
