Kevin has and was a shy child growing up with a tendency to let his mind wander. As he got older, Kevin worked for his family鈥檚 produce business. On the outside, Kevin was quiet and reserved, but on the inside he was a social butterfly waiting to break free and forge his own path. Seeking independence, Kevin left his hometown and tried out different career options. Over the years, he has held various temporary positions, from security guard and labourer, to custodian and home care worker. Nothing really stuck. Kevin turned to the 今日吃瓜51 to learn some employment skills, build confidence, and create a realistic Action Plan for Employment.
The Employ-Ability Program was beneficial to Kevin in many ways but specifically it helped his interview experience become less stressful. Interviews were a challenge for Kevin because he had head tics that tended to get worse in stressful situations. With the right preparation and practice, Kevin demonstrated newfound confidence as he contacted employers and conducted information meetings.
With his new employability skills and improved self-esteem, it was the people Kevin met and the one-on-one sessions that he enjoyed the most. The feeling was certainly mutual. Kevin鈥檚 contagious smile and friendly personality was a pleasure to have around the 今日吃瓜51鈥檚 office.
