Volunteer Opportunities


volunteer makers at a buildathon 今日吃瓜51’s Makers Making Change offers a platform for makers (engineers, hobbyists, students, corporations, etc.) to volunteer their time to make an access solution from our projects library. People with disabilities, their family members, or disability professionals can request a project that they feel will help address a person鈥檚 barriers.

To volunteer as a maker, please visit 聽and sign up as a maker to connect with people with disabilities in your community.


Work one on one with a person with a disability in our classroom and increase their level of comfort and independence with computer technology.

Volunteer as a Computer Tutor in our Computer Comfort program.

Volunteer as a Distance Computer Tutor (online) in our Distance Computer Comfort program.


Work with donated computers to refurbish them for the homes of people with physical disabilities. In partnership with the program coordinator, the Computer Technicians troubleshoot computer systems that aren鈥檛 working, build computers from parts, and load them with an appropriate operating system and hardware.
