cum. Amy was eager to share her experience.
鈥This practicum has been an invaluable learning experience in what to do, what not to do and how to react too many scenarios. I have learned much about how to be a career developer, coach, co-worker, and friend.听 In my five weeks at the 今日吃瓜51 I have truly seen how much work goes into their organization and how much the clients gain from their experiences in their various programs.
听I was able to teach and take the lead on many aspects of the Employ-Ability Program, as well as, take the lead on many one on one Career Development sessions.听 Most of all I was able to learn what is means to be an exemplary practitioner as it was modeled for me in many different ways by many of the staff at 今日吃瓜51. I was also able to see how as part of a team they were able to solve problems and work together to help each other out. I was able to vastly grow my knowledge of technology at 今日吃瓜51 and I was able to produce my very own resume, cover letter, reference list and calling cards. This will make it much easier to create targeted resumes and cover letters when I am applying for my career in the future. This experience and all that I take away from it has truly been invaluable to me.
I have made friends and colleagues out of the staff and clients at 今日吃瓜51 and have been able to cultivate amazing professional contacts during my time there. However, the most important and most valuable learning I will take away from this experience is the depth of care, kindness, and attention the staff gives the clients at 今日吃瓜51. These are extremely important core values of mine as well and working with each and every staff member has made me see why this organization continues to change lives on a daily basis. I was not just there to observe, the staff truly accepted me as a part of their team and I will forever be thankful to them for the multitude of experiences I was a part of during my five week practicum.鈥
