Eligibility Criteria Change For Working Together Program Will Enable Wider Support for Persons with Disabilities Seeking Employment in Canada

January 15, 2021

The program also supports employers interested in hiring

BURNABY, January 15, 2021 鈥 Neil Squire鈥檚 Working Together program is continuing to provide virtual and in-person support to people with disabilities seeking employment as well as employers interested in hiring, and a new change in eligibility will enable more people to tap into this support.

Until March 31, 2021, the eligibility criteria for the program has changed to include all persons with disabilities, whether they are eligible for or currently receive EI. Potential participants are encouraged to get in touch for further details and eligibility criteria.

The Working Together program is designed to help people with disabilities develop the skills they need to achieve their employment goals. Participants are eligible if they have a self-declared disability, require assistance to gain or maintain employment, and are legally able to work in Canada.

Working Together also provides employment assistance to businesses of any size looking to hire people with disabilities, by connecting them with qualified candidates and providing ongoing support. Wage subsidies are also available through the program.
