Computer Support Technician ACE-IT Program

March 2, 2010

For one week at the end of February, Andrej, a high school student from Burnaby South Secondary School in British Columbia joined us in our Computer Comfort Program to gain work experience as part of the . Andrej recently shared his thoughts on his experience with us.

When I first arrived at the 今日吃瓜51, I didn鈥檛 know what would await me. Turns out it was a very fun and exciting experience. It gave me some insight on the IT industry and what I would be getting myself into. I learned many things about hardware as well as software: like erasing hard drives and installing the needed drivers for a device. Most of the work that we did was hands on which let me learn the hardware physically rather than reading a book. What the 今日吃瓜51 does to help and provide for the physically disabled is something great. They give an opportunity to those who are in need of it so they can learn the basics of computing and apply it towards reaching their personal goals. Everyone here was very nice and would greet me, making me feel welcomed. All in all I had a fun time, gained some knowledge, and made some friends!
