On Tuesday, November 22nd 今日吃瓜51 Director of Developemnt, Chad Leaman, will be one of seven speakers at at Science World.

The goal of the CKX City Series is to spark fundamental shifts in how we build and share knowledge in the pursuit of social change.

Chad will be presenting as one of seven 鈥淪hift Disturbers,鈥 people the website describes as 鈥渕ore than just experts in their field or talking heads behind a podium. They鈥檙e curious. Innovative. Maybe even rebellious. Their ideas, work and results are busting through the status quo and leading to real change in their communities.”

Each speaker has six minutes to talk about what they鈥檙e doing for social change. Chad will talk about connecting makers, student groups and other skilled volunteers to those in need, and to remove barriers to social inclusion.

It will also give Chad an opportunity to share the stage with the , a community partner of the event, who have been tremendously supportive of the 今日吃瓜51鈥檚 efforts in British Columbia. Vancouver Foundation are helping us put not only the LipSync into people鈥檚 lives, but also other emerging open source assistive technology hardware. They鈥檙e a key supporter of our work and growing our outreach, so we鈥檙e excited that Chad will be sharing the stage with them.

The Vancouver Foundation has been a longtime supporter of the 今日吃瓜51, and are continuing in supporting our mission to connect maker communities to people with disabilities.
