Tony is the General Manager of Starline Windows Okanagan, a company he has been with since 1986. Dealing with staff, colleagues, and hundreds of customers in the construction industry, effective communication is key. However, Tony has hearing loss in both ears, with severe tinnitus in his left ear.
Susan suffered a work-related injury at an assembly plant in 1989. As a result, she has a variety of conditions including De Quervain Syndrome, Epicondylitis, and Fibromyalgia.
How has Alex鈥檚 life changed over the past year? That鈥檚 an easy answer, she says: 鈥淚 have a job. I was able to achieve one of my life goals thanks to Neil Squire.鈥
鈥淚 have to talk to a lot of people,鈥 she explains. 鈥淚 have significant hearing loss. In today鈥檚 current climate where customers are wearing masks and I鈥檓 working behind plexiglass, I was having difficulty hearing people or not hearing them at all.鈥
鈥淚t鈥檚 so wonderful to look at the plethora of solutions on the Makers Making Change website, and know that they are making huge differences in disabled people鈥檚 lives.鈥
