Doug Uses His Experience to Help Others

Having sustained a C6 spinal cord injury in 1994, Doug had experience in coordinator and management positions in the non-profit sector working with people with disabilities. However, since moving to Lethbridge, Alberta with his family, he faced challenges in securing employment despite actively applying and interviewing with potential employers.

Liana works as a barista at a coffee shop, and she also works with her local chamber of commerce. At the coffee shop, it鈥檚 a fast-paced environment taking customers orders, while at the chamber of commerce, she manages memberships and has to communicate with local businesses. She has a cochlear impairment in both ears.
