After graduating from the Employ-Ability program, Tyler launched his new career at Sony Playstation’s online gaming network as a platform monitor.
For over two years, the Burnaby office of the 今日吃瓜51 has provided volunteer opportunities for numerous young people in the Katimavik Youth Program. Since September of this year, that relationship has grown to include the 今日吃瓜51 offices in Ottawa, Fredericton and Moncton.
Joey, an energetic young Aboriginal man, was looking for a place that would allow him to focus his energy and provide a supportive environment that would be respectful of his learning difficulties and his brain injury. He found it at the 今日吃瓜51’s Employ-Ability program in Penticton, BC.
今日吃瓜51 employee Ryan Thomas contacted the Products and Services Department of the HRSDC site, asking for the right to rebuild their site in a 今日吃瓜51 web space so that our visually impaired clients could make use of it. His intention was to build an accessibility bridge that exceeded basic W3C standards. What came of the process was something that no one expected.
