When I was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I wasn’t sure where to turn. I didn’t know anyone who had MS, or any other kind of autoimmune disorder, for that matter. I started an on-line search to see where I might get assistance in the Ottawa area.
Meet Atif, a recent graduate of the Virtual Employ-Ability Program. At the age of 15, Atif was diagnosed with Ataxia, a disability that affects muscle control.
22-year-old Brooke, who has a hearing impairment, has a passion for customer service.
Kyle has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and severe learning disabilities. It鈥檚 difficult for Kyle to maintain employment without a great deal of support.
Lindy was born with severe cerebral palsy. She also has ataxia, poor balance, and poor speech. Originally from Hong Kong, she immigrated to Canada in 1990.
