Mike, who was looking to re-enter the workforce, has an intellectual disability and hearing issues. Despite these barriers, he was very motivated to find work and prove to an employer that he would be a valuable asset.
When looking to re-enter the workforce, Cassandra’s experiences were vast and many, but she didn’t know where to start. She had just recently relocated to Ottawa, and was not fully settled in to her new surroundings.
Jack is a visual effects artist. With his hearing impairment, it was difficult for Jack to receive feedback on his work 鈥 an important part of the process in the production of visual effects. He was worried that it would be a barrier to moving up in his career.
At the Orleans Home Hardware, just outside of Ottawa, Eric has found a home away from home. He loves his job, handling stock and assisting customers out on the sales floor.
